Opened in the spring of 2020, a small yakitori restaurant with just nine counter seats, but it has quickly become indispensable to Karuizawa’s villa owners. Known for its warm and welcoming hospitality, the restaurant has earned a reputation for making visitors loyal fans after just one visit. The omakase (chef’s choice) menu begins with clam soup and includes dishes like Camembert cheese marinated in miso and vegetable soup.
Throughout the meal, yakitori such as furisode (chicken shoulder), chicken wings, Shinshu golden gamecock, and meatballs are grilled right in front of you, offering a deep, smoky flavor that is both savory and juicy.
The perfectly cooked vegetables add a refreshing balance, with their bright flavors and textures. Along with a wide selection of drinks, Toritaka provides an unforgettable dining experience that continues to attract visitors from all over Japan.
